The only real difference is in the hardware. They both share the same footprint. The extra features are OLED display on the programmable buttons. The push buttons are now silent and long throw. The jog wheel is larger. There is a retractable tray for the keyboard and there are 6 programmable GPIO’s on the back.
The software is basically the same as Tango 1 apart from the ability to switch the 22 inch LCD to show theDAW screen. Also the colour of the graphics is now customisable with the built in colour grading program.
It’s not interchangeable between Tango 1 and 2 but any new features that are not hardware dependant will be available for Tango 1 users.
If we connect to a new DAW we will make that available to Tango 1 users.
We’ll still continue to support Tango 1 users in regard to spare parts as well as ongoing software help and bug fixes.
At the moment, yes, we have Tango 1’s in stock as well as some used demo units.
It may be possible you would need to discuss this with your local dealer.
There will be available a 12 fader extension bay. You will be able to add up to 4 extension bays to the Tango 2 unit which will give you a fader count of 56.
