The ARC allows an operator to update channel parameters over large numbers of channels (eg. copying an EQ, dynamics or assign setting) simply by touching the relevant parameter and then wiping the ARC. The intuitive aspect of the interface allows mixers to concentrate on the task at hand, without being distracted by painful menus and operational modes.
